I always carry a smashed laptop on me. This is partly because I know that it’s useful to have it with me. I also like the fact that I can still use the computer even when I’m not at work. I think it’s because the laptop is a part of me. It’s a part of what I can do. I can’t completely rid myself of it, but I do try to keep it with me at all times.
This is a good point, and a good idea to keep with me. I would prefer to be able to use my laptop at my desk. It doesn’t hurt that the laptop is my laptop. But I’m not a fan of the idea that I have to take it everywhere with me when I can easily do it at work.
My advice, when you do go on vacation, is to make sure you bring your laptop with you. Even if you have to use it at home. Because no matter how often you use your laptop, you’ll always have a copy of it on your desk.
My laptop has a small memory that gets filled up pretty fast. So I just keep a little “extra” laptop on my desk and take it with me. But I also keep a box of other laptops in my office, so I can easily grab a couple laptops for emergencies. I have always thought that even the smallest office “box” of laptops would help me avoid a lot of the frustration that comes with having to pack everything away and then find it again.
We’ve all been guilty of using our cell phones during our lunch break. I don’t know if it’s because I feel like I’m interrupting my friends or if it’s because I really, really hate the feeling of pulling out my phone to text everyone I know. I try to stay on topic, and that’s exactly what happened when I saw the new trailer for smashed laptop.
I can’t stop looking at it. I can’t stop looking at the way the screen is smashed and how the characters and the camera angles have been changed. I can’t stop watching the look on the face of the guy who had to go back and grab the laptop and then return it to the person who gave it to him in the first place. It breaks my heart.
I’m not sure why I feel torn about the whole thing. I really love the trailer and the main character of the game, but also I really hate the fact that any time I have to deal with an annoying email or a text message I have to turn on my phone.
The main reason I don’t use my phone any more is I can’t stand that I always end up sending something to someone else then they’ll read it. I just get so annoyed when someone else has to go through all the trouble of reading it. I want it all to be over.
I agree, but I’d like to add that when you consider the fact that a laptop is so easy to break into, you really can’t blame it. I have a hard time not having my phone in my car every time I travel. It’s just very convenient.
Although we’ve all had our tech-hates, I would still argue that laptops are just as easy to break into as phones. I think the biggest difference is that laptops aren’t always locked to the owner, which makes them much easier to break into.
